Thanks so much! you've really relieved some stress I've been having about all this. Im so excited to go to school there and learn from good artists

i was in the same situation. don't worry so much. your art shows a lot of promise (lots more than many students here) and if you get excepted (which I don't see why you wouldn't) you will get a scholarship. everyone who goes to CIA gets some kind of financial help. some get more than others but that just life. were all going to be in some kind of debt after school. unless your blessed with filthy rich parents. my favorite teachers are: sarah kabot (she teaches drawing... awesomely. she grades hard but she will push you to become a better artist), dom and john (the illustration teachers. john is a Nam veteran and a hard ass. and dom looks like mario), michael danko (an awesome liberal arts teacher who loves marvel comics, star wars and lots of other awesome nerdy things), lane cooper(the best art history teacher ever. also a tough grader but she is loads of fun).
just to warn you, the first year at CIA is all foundation courses. it has its benefits but it also sucks a lot. the projects are usually not terribly interesting but things get better once you get to your major and you are able to pick your own courses.

do you know about the scholarships they give? do you think my stuffs good enough compared of other freshman? who's been your favorite teacher? Im really hoping for a scholarship otherwise I dont think I can go. turning in my portfolio here in a week or two.

Cool! Im an animator/ illustrator myself. the illustration department rocks! Im currently in t.i.m.e but i still take illustration classes. the time department is great if you get the right teachers. all in all the most important thing is to really apply yourself to the school. push yourself and use the school for all its worth. If you have any specific questions about CIA I'd be obliged to answer.
